Biography

Scot Ryder is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist who brings to
his audiences a positive minded, uplifting and energetic
performance experience. Hailing  from San Diego, California,
this world-class musician is renowned  for his cutting-edge
style, described as a mix of folk, classical and  flamenco.
Scot blends his guitar playing seamlessly with colorful touches  
of melodic harmonics, guitar tapping, and perfectly executed
percussive embellishments. His unique performance technique
has made him a  favorite among acoustic and folk enthusiasts
across the western states. In 2011 he released the first solo CD
of his beautiful guitar work entitled,  “Inspiration”, receiving high
praise among peers, and much critical acclaim.

Scot is a member of the AFM (American Federation of
Musicians) local 325 as well as the guitarist for the folklore
group Enchanted Realms which he founded in 2003.

With his debut solo album, “Inspiration”. Scot Ryder brings us lively
acoustic guitar instrumentals. Firing together the styles of folk, flamenco,
and classical guitar, his sound is a refreshingly welcome mix of sturdy
finger picking, heartfelt harmonies, colorful splashes of melodic
harmonics and just the right dose of percussive embellishment. Each
track is a complete masterpiece, collectively providing a warm storm of
seriously catchy melodies, hooks and riffs. Couple that fact with Ryder’s
masterful execution and superb recording throughout and you’ve got
“Inspiration”!

Scot's guitar style reminded me the first time I heard and saw the acoustic
guitar being played in a Spanish,Flamenco Style. The passion and power
of the guitar as Scot blends theses styles is amazing, you could just tell
the enthusiasm he has for his craft! It’s special to watch.

Enchanted Realms will be in the studio this Summer                  
recording and filming for both the  ER CD and DVD release        
due later this year.
